The Gathering is an especially valuable program that allows you to demonstrate to your outside advisor guests the opportunities and value they gain by working with professionals, like you, that believe in true forms of collaboration.
The Gathering is an annual symposium that combines a practical understanding of current events in estate, business, tax, insurance, and wealth strategies planning to keep you and your Independent Collaborative Advisor on the Razor's Edge. Laureates and colleagues provide a review of current events and techniques, including the best of the information gathered at the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning just a few weeks earlier - with a focus on how to integrate the quiet confidence approach for our practices and clients.
The two days are facilitated through team teaching in an informal setting, where dialogue and participation with the audience is as important as the materials prepared by the presenters. Because in today's complex world, no one person can be an expert in all areas, The Gathering highlights the interdisciplinary opportunities related to the information presented to enable advisors to work together and develop new relationships.
The Gathering meets in San Diego, California, each February on the first Thursday and following Friday. The Gathering program fee is $500.00, except for Laureate in Wealth Strategies Program students and members of the Laureate Circle, whose participation fee is included in their annual fee.
The Circle of Friends Gala, held every Thursday night during The Gathering, is a formal black tie charity event. In 2008, the Circle of Friends Gala will benefit U.S. Iraqi War Veterans through Sharp Hospital's Traumatic Brain Injuries Rehabilitation Program.
